Nestled between the mountains and the sea of the Amalfi Coast, Amalfi was one of the most influential cities of the medieval Mediterranean.
Between the 9th and 11th centuries, the Republic of Amalfi reached the height of its power, becoming a major trading center that connected Europe with the East. Amalfitan ships sailed across the Mediterranean carrying spices, precious fabrics, and knowledge from distant lands.
It was in Amalfi that the famous Amalfitan Tables (Tabula Amalphitana) were developed, one of the most important maritime codes of the Middle Ages, used for centuries by sailors throughout the Mediterranean.
Even today, the town preserves traces of its glorious past: the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, the ancient shipyards, the winding alleys between whitewashed houses, and the stairways that climb toward the sky.
Amalfi is more than just a tourist destination. It is a town that tells over a thousand years of history, traditions, and maritime culture.
Amalfi Coast Club was born from this love for Amalfi and from the desire to share its beauty through illustrations, stories, and products inspired by its most authentic places.
