As you wander through the narrow streets of Amalfi, you’ll find countless small roadside shrines—quiet symbols of faith, history, and tradition. Each one tells a story, but the one closest to my heart stands above the doorway of my grandparents’ home.

It was lovingly handcrafted by my grandfather, Crescenzo, and every morning my grandmother, Giulia, would stand with me before the image of the Madonna, teaching me to make the sign of the cross before stepping outside. It was there that I received the first and greatest lesson of my life: faith.

To many, it’s simply Number 5.

To me, it’s where my most treasured childhood memories live—long summers with my grandparents, unconditional love, and values that continue to guide me every day.
