St. Andrew's Race T-shirt — Amalfi
Inspired by one of Amalfi's most moving and symbolic traditions, this T-shirt celebrates the legendary Corsa di Sant’Andrea — the spectacular ascent of the Saint's statue up the majestic steps of Amalfi Cathedral.
Devotion to St. Andrew dates back to 1208, when the Apostle's relics arrived in Amalfi from far-off Constantinople. Since then, the city has become one of the most important spiritual sites dedicated to the fisherman Saint.
Even today, this tradition continues to live on with the same intensity, faith, and popular participation.
Every year, Amalfi celebrates its Patron Saint at two profoundly different times:
• June 27th — the grand, vibrant, and spectacular summer festival, linked to the miracle of 1544, when St. Andrew is said to have protected Amalfi from a pirate attack.
• November 30th — the more intimate and spiritual liturgical observance, dedicated to memory, prayer, and the religious identity of the Amalfi community.
A tribute to Amalfi, to faith, tradition, and timeless Mediterranean culture.
