For years, in the kitchens of Marina Grande, surrounded by the scent of the Amalfi sea, the sound of the waves, and endless days of hard work, Mom Melina prepared this cake with the same care she devoted to the people she loved.
It was never just a dessert.

A slice shared after lunch, an afternoon treat enjoyed with family, a moment of sweetness during the busiest days.
Her hands knew every ingredient by heart: the walnuts, the lemon honey, the fragrance of freshly grated lemon zest. Every time she made it the same way—with patience, experience, and that special touch that no written recipe could ever fully explain.
Today, this recipe continues to live on.
Not only as a traditional dessert, but as a tribute to a woman who dedicated her life to her family, her work, and the art of welcoming others.
