Since 1956, this legacy has been celebrated through the historic Regatta of the Ancient Maritime Republics, an annual rowing competition featuring the four cities aboard magnificent historical galleons.

The crews race over a 2,000-meter course, propelled by eight rowers and a coxswain, honoring the courage and determination of the sailors who made these Republics famous throughout the world.

The galleon of Amalfi proudly bears the Blue Winged Horse (Pegasus), symbolizing freedom, strength, and the maritime spirit of the oldest Maritime Republic.

Today, the Regatta remains a living tribute to a shared history that continues to unite these legendary cities through the sea.
