The Legend of the Amalfi Red Moon

In Amalfi, people tell of certain summer nights when the sea becomes perfectly still and the wind falls silent between the mountains.

On those rare evenings, a special moon rises from the horizon.

The old fishermen called it The Amalfi Red Moon.

They believed its crimson glow did not come from the sky alone, but from the reflection of the cliffside houses, the lights of the fishing boats, and the hearts of those who loved this coast.

According to local tradition, whenever the Red Moon appeared above the sea, it brought good fortune to sailors, protection to families, and memories of those who had left Amalfi but never forgot their home.

Even today, on the clearest nights, its light seems to paint the narrow alleys, domes, and ancient walls of the Maritime Republic in shades of red and gold.

For us, the Amalfi Red Moon is more than a landscape.

It is a symbol of roots, longing, love for the sea, and the invisible bond that connects everyone who has ever carried Amalfi in their heart.
